How can we help?

Below is a list of frequently asked questions from our customers, organized by topic.

Draft or a design

I only have an idea/a plan/or raw data. Can I still implement this with the additive technology?

Yes, of course! We are happy to help you translate your thoughts and ideas into a technical drawing.

In the medical field we can also work with DICOM data and derive a model from it.

Which file formats are suitable for 3D printing?

The most common 3D printing formats are: .stl, .stp, .step, DICOM and all essential healthcare data sets.

Will my information be treated confidentially? How are anatomical models treated?

Your privacy is very important to us. We treat your information confidentially and do not publish or make it available to third parties.

Anatomical models are of course treated confidentially according to DSGVO.

How long will it take for me to receive a non-binding quote?

Medical 3D printing requires precise and accurate calculations. For a valid offer we need approx. 2-3 days.

I have uploaded my project via the quotation form but have not received confirmation?

It may take 10-15 minutes to receive the confirmation email, otherwise please contact us by email.

You can contact us directly by e-mail at hechenberger@3d-druck.tirol or by phone at +43 660 6546363.

Can you print me an exact copy of a DICOM record?

Yes, additive manufacturing allows us to produce specialized medical materials, bone, tissue and any other anatomical models.

Production

How is the price of the part determined?

The price of the offer is determined by several factors, which are as follows:

  • Complexity of the project
  • Size and volume of the object
  • Material selection and quality
  • Estimated production time
  • Data customization and processing
  • Post-processing
How long will it take for my component to be printed?

This depends very much on the shape, size and volume of the part. As a general rule, a full-size human heart will take about 4-5 hours to print.

What materials should I use for my part?

Because medical 3D printing is very complex, we recommend that customers contact us first. The most common medical materials we work with are Bone, Tissue Gel Matrix and Agilus. For more information, please call or email us.

How large is the print space of the 3D printer?
